Ministry of Interior and National Administration Cabinet Secretary Prof.Kithure Kindiki on Monday June 10, 2024 launched the fourth and final segment of the Kenya Vision 2030 Plan in Marsabit.
During the launch, Kindiki said the Fourth Medium Term Plan (MTP IV) covers the period 2023-2027.
Moreover he stated that the MTP IV and the County Integrated Development Plans (CIDPs) of all 47 Counties are aligned with the Bottom Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA) pursued by the current administration.
“The BETA Plan envisages investments in agriculture, health, housing, businesses and the digital and creative economies to power the economic, political and social pillars of Kenya Vision 2030” said Kindiki
“During the MPTV IV Plan cycle, the Government will upscale the already commenced programmes and projects to boost production in value chains that put more money in the pockets of citizens”.
CS Kindiki presided over the launch of MTP-IV stakeholder engagement and the breakdown of planned development programmes and projects representing President William Ruto.
Principal Secretary for Arid and Se mi-Arid Lands (ASALs) Kello Harsama, Marsabit Governor Mohamed Mohamud Ali and Senior National and County Government officials and representatives of the public attended.
Kindiki also received briefings from the Marsabit County Security heads, Members of County Assembly (MCAs), Community leaders, and elders.
