Ruto to Oversee Sh3 Billion NYOTA Grants Disbursement as 122,000 Youth Set to Benefit

President William Ruto will on Friday preside over the second disbursement of the National Youth Opportunities Towards Advancement (NYOTA) Programme Business Support Grants in Nairobi, marking another milestone in the government’s efforts to empower young entrepreneurs across the country.

The nationwide exercise will see more than 122,000 beneficiaries drawn from all 47 counties receive grants of KSh25,000 each under the programme’s second phase, with a total of KSh3 billion set aside for the initiative.

Simultaneous events will be held at 18 designated venues across the country, where Cabinet Secretaries will represent the President in 17 locations as beneficiaries converge to receive the funds.

The second disbursement of the NYOTA Programme Business Support Grants will be overseen by H.E. President William Ruto in Nairobi this Friday,while he will be represented at 17 other locations across the country by Cabinet Secretaries,with beneficiaries from all 47 counties converging at the 18 designated venues,”Opranya said in a statement.

Ahead of the launch, Deputy President Kithure Kindiki chaired a high-level briefing meeting that brought together senior government officials to finalise preparations, coordinate logistics for the simultaneous events and align communication of the President’s message to the youth.

The NYOTA Programme, which is supported by the World Bank, aims to empower young Kenyans through entrepreneurship training, mentorship and financial support designed to help them establish and grow sustainable businesses.
