Eye & U Kenya has announced that it is now offering comprehensive eye care services to teachers under the Mwalimu Comprehensive Medical Cover at its Nakuru branch, expanding access to specialised eye health services for educators.
In a statement, the eye care provider said the services are offered in partnership with the Social Health Authority (SHA) and are fully aligned with the government-backed Mwalimu Comprehensive Cover, which targets teachers across the country.
The move is expected to ease access to quality eye care for teachers in Nakuru and the surrounding regions, reducing the need for long-distance travel to seek specialised services.

“Eye & U Kenya is proud to serve all teachers under the new Mwalimu Comprehensive Medical Cover,” the facility said, noting that the expansion reflects its commitment to improving healthcare access for educators.
The Mwalimu Comprehensive Cover is part of broader reforms aimed at enhancing healthcare benefits for teachers, with a focus on preventive and specialised care, including vision services.
Eye & U Kenya offers a range of eye care services, including eye examinations, diagnosis, treatment, and optical solutions, and has positioned itself as a key partner in supporting the health and well-being of teachers.
