This is how to Know if Someone Has Blocked You on WhatsApp

The last seen and online tell you the last time this person used WhatsApp or even if they are online. However, being online doesn’t necessarily mean they read your message. If you do not see either, it might mean that they blocked you.

Social media is the highlight of today’s life. Face-to-face communication has started diminishing and instead people seem to be more comfortable communicating through their screens, be it smartphones, iPhones, or even laptops. One of the many apps that people use is WhatsApp.

For a long time now, this app has helped in socializing. It has even helped people organize themselves in a better way, thanks to its ability to create a group, where people, coworkers, classmates, and the likes get to meet and just talk and plan for the future. It has also helped a lot of people get together in the name of love, from all corners of the world.

However, with all those advantages, comes some disadvantages; scams, cyberbullying, and even spats. So today we are going to focus especially on that last one. A spat is mostly a quarrel between people or groups of people.

And some people choose to solve these things online, what with covid-19 and all. But what happens when you can’t reach the other person to solve your problems? This especially happens between couples. And so you want to confirm if they are intentionally ignoring you or if they even blocked you.

Well, don’t worry, I am going to share with you some indicators that will help you confirm your suspicions. Here’s how to know if someone has blocked you on WhatsApp:

1. You no longer see their last seen or online in the chat window

The last seen and online tell you the last time this person used WhatsApp or even if they are online. However, being online doesn’t necessarily mean they read your message. If you do not see either, it might mean that they blocked you.

But it could also mean that they just set their privacy settings to hide this information, or you set your privacy settings to not share your last seen. The latter means that you can’t see other people’s last seen too.

2. Any calls that you attempt to make will not go through

Have you tried calling them and your call can’t just seem to go through? This is basic code for ‘blocked’. Even if they are offline, the call still goes through, so that they get a missed call when they get back online.

3. Any messages you send show one check mark and never show the second checkmark

The first checkmark means that your message has been sent and the second one means that it has been delivered.

So if you send your text and it shows one checkmark and it has been days, and you still can’t see the second checkmark, and all the above indicators are present, then you have been blocked.

Those are some signs that show when you have been blocked on WhatsApp. This can never be easy on anyone, especially on couples or friends.

So a little advice on that; if the other person wants space, all you can do is just give it to them and let go. They had their reasons to block you.
